What we research
Six areas, each one with something released behind it.
Languages and compilers
Programming in Bengali rather than English, and what it takes to make a general purpose language usable by people who never learned to code in a second language.
Released from this work
Shunno Programming Language
Machine learning and deep learning
Models trained for real, narrow problems — conversation, classification, and prediction — rather than benchmarks, and small enough to run where our clients already are.
Released from this work
Britto AI, Fishtock
Web frameworks and engines
How much of a full stack framework is actually needed for a small team to ship — worked out by building lightweight MVC, template, and database layers and using them on real projects.
Released from this work
S PHP Engine, S Template Engine, S Database Explorer
Developer tooling
The time between an idea and a running project. Scaffolding, task automation, and project-aware command line tools that remove the setup nobody wants to repeat.
Released from this work
Shemul CLI
Desktop and platform software
What a browser or a document viewer needs to be when it is stripped back to the parts people use, and how far a cross-platform build can be pushed on modest hardware.
Released from this work
Jaal Browser
Privacy and the open web
Consent, data handling, and the rules a site has to follow — implemented as something a small site owner can install rather than a policy document they have to interpret.
Released from this work
CookieCons, ProjectPress
Selected work
Three of the projects the centre has released — a programming language, a model, and an engine. Everything else is in the full index.
Shunno Programming Language
A general purpose programming language in Bengali — syntax, keywords, and errors, all in Bengali.
Britto AI
A deep learning model for conversational chatbots, trained and served small enough to run on modest hardware.
S PHP Engine (SPE)
A lightweight PHP framework and engine — the answer to how much framework a small team actually needs.
Two centres, now one
S Technologies ran two independent research centres for a decade. On August 14, 2026 they were merged, because the questions had stopped dividing along the line between them.

S Web Research Center
SWRC
The first centre. Web frameworks, template engines, developer tooling, and the publishing platforms built on top of them.
August 14, 2019August 14, 2026
S AI Research Center
SAIRC
The second. Machine learning and deep learning models trained for real, narrow problems — conversation, classification, and prediction.

S Technologies Research Center
STRC
One centre carrying both. A Bengali programming language needs a compiler and a language model; a fish-stock forecast needs a web application to be used at all. Splitting that across two centres had become the harder way to do it.
Bring us a question
If there is something you need answered before you can build it, tell us what it is. We will say plainly whether it is a study, a product, or something already solved.
